MEA Climate Action Hub

From local climate challenges to coordinated, practical action.

MEA Climate Action Hub brings institutions, businesses, experts and communities together to address defined climate challenges. Working from local evidence and priorities, the Hub helps partners design and test coordinated responses to emissions, climate risks and resource pressures, and build the capability to carry them forward.

The challenge

Climate challenges often cross sectoral and institutional boundaries. Cities, communities and organisations may have the knowledge to identify problems, yet need a common process that links evidence, decision-makers, implementation capacity and resources around practical interventions.

Where we focus

  • Locally defined climate challenges.

Start with a clear problem identified by a local institution or group of partners, grounded in the place, sector and communities concerned.

  • Evidence-led climate responses.

Connect emissions information, climate risks and resource pressures with options for mitigation, adaptation and greater resilience.

  • Partnerships for action and learning.

Bring together implementation partners to co-design practical interventions, test suitable approaches and share results that can inform future action.

What progress looks like

A defined local challenge moving into coordinated action, usable evidence on what changed, improved local implementation capacity and learning that can inform other places or sectors.
